About Us
Hidden Valley Nature Center
offers a wide range of recreational
and educational opportunities.
We are located in the Town of
Jefferson, Lincoln County, Maine, in
the Jefferson-Whitefield State
Wildlife Sanctuary.
HVNC offers 800 acres of diverse
habitat, many small ponds and
vernal pools, 20+miles of trails, and
a range of low-impact sustainable
forestry projects completed and
underway.
Look for announcements of Hidden
Valley Nature Center’s many
educational events throughout the
year. We have a leadership pool of
members offering a wide array of
skills/experiences.
Choose from any of the listed
activities or create your own
program, from hours to days.
Contact Gary Hayward, Director, to
arrange the perfect outing.
Unless otherwise noted, all of the
walks will start at 9:00 AM and will
end around noon with a light lunch
at a Hilltop Yurt.
